The new house

The house without light and some trips around the city...

Yesterday we moved to the new house; it starts to feel like home. We did not have electricity yesterday and because we moved our luggage only around 22 o'clock, nobody could help us. So we bought some candles and managed well. Improvising is key here and so is patience. No electricity also means no hot water, so no shower... But today the problem will be fixed, at least they promised!

During the weekend we made a trip up to Monte Pellegrino, one of the mountains surrounding the city, to see the city by night; so beautiful! If the weather is good this weekend we will go to Mondello, the beach nearby Palermo. Two days ago Sara, Tugce and I made a nice walk to the harbor and had a delicious icecream there, seeing the sunset and all the little boats of people that go fishing...

In the city there are many events with live music, little festivals, theatre.. so nice! We have gone out quite often for dinner and to the taverna just to hang out and have a drink after a day at the office. I am really enjoying life here so far and I think that living in the new house will make this only better (if the lights start working ;)).
